## D-Day June 6 - Democracy Day Visibility Brigade On Saturday, June 6th, D-Day (Democracy Day) is coming and we want you to join us on the pedestrian bridge over the 101 Fwy to honor those who fought fascism on the beaches of Normandy by bringing that same spirit of resistance peacefully home! Our Messaging: Pro-democracy. Anti-fascist. Rooted in history, urgent in the present. We will supply a large message for passing cars to see that you can stand over and wave. You are welcome to bring your own hand-held signs, play music, wear inflatables or costumes. We cannot attach signs to the bridge, so all messages must be waved or hand-held in place. If you are a veteran, we would be especially honored if you could join us! Democracy Day is built on joy, creativity, and community. Once you sign up, we will share more information as we get closer to this event! **Honor Vets, Defend Democracy** ## What to Expect **High Visibility:** We will be holding large, legible signs to share our message with thousands of drivers during the Saturday morning rush. **Community Connection:** Stand in solidarity with veterans, fellow organizers and neighbors who believe in honoring and supporting our veterans, evidence-based governance, and the protection of civil rights. **Safety & De-escalation:** This is a peaceful, nonviolent protest. ## What to Bring **Bold Signs:** Bring your own flags and your own hand-held signs. Suggested slogans: "Honor Vets, Fight Fascism," "Honor Vets, Resist Tyrants," "Power to the People," or "Jail the Epstein Class." **Gear:** Comfortable shoes, water, sunscreen, and your loudest (but most respectful) energy. **Friends:** Movements are built on community. Bring a neighbor! _**Note on Safety:** In accordance with Indivisible’s core principles, weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited.
