#Pelargoniums, also known as geraniums or storksbills, are a diverse group of flowering plants with around 280 species. They are native to South Africa and are popular

Another garden snapshot - the tender corner. Mostly filled with succulents that overwinter in the conservatory - Aeoniums, Aloes, Crassula, Echeveria and Pelargoniums. Some hardy Sempervivums and Sedums. The odd Agapanthus, Lily, Canna and Jasmine. Big Alocasia and Colocasia live in a water-filled Belfast sink and bucket! Just in view is the black summerhouse. More flowers soon but I like the leaf forms.

My backyard is looking very green & perky. #Bees are loving the #pelargoniums & #allium. Everything else is in bud & just waiting for another spate of warm #sunny (but not too hot please!) weather to come into bloom #Bloomscrolling

A New Chapter at Fibrex Nurseries - The Chatty Gardener

Fibrex Nurseries is under new ownership. I've been out to chat to the team and find out what's planned for the pelargonium specialists.

The Chatty Gardener
Recently trimmed an overgrown pelargonium. These are a lot of seedings. Just about 6 inches with a node, remove some leaves, & any buds, stick them in compost, water not too often. So far they seem to be doing pretty well. Haven't pulled any up yet to see if they have roots... #pelargoniums #gardening #learning #propagating
Brought the pelargoniums inside today before anymore rain can get to them as its starting to get cooler overnight now. 3 repotted in fresh compost and fresh grit over them to see them through winter in the house #gardeningmastodon #gardeningadvice #pelargoniums
Pelargonium living happily out of the frost on my front porch. I was a bit slow moving it there which is why the leaves went red, but now new green ones are developing underneath. The first sign of spring! To my amazement, it has kept flowering all winter.
