top row: ram's-horn & spangle gall wasps, on oaks
bottom row: beech gall midge, on beech; willow gall sawfly, on willow

A little experiment on my phone:
Capturing the midgies swirling in a beam of sunlight on the drive.
Natural light (no flash) and no idea what focal length to set for micro close ups as they dance within the 2 foot beam of sun, coupled with a fast exposure to hopefully capture them as sharp as possible.
