Pennsylvania is suing AI chatbots for impersonating real doctors. In May the state sued Character.AI after a bot called Emilie claimed to be a licensed psychiatrist and gave out a fake medical license number. A Spotlight PA probe on June 8, 2026, found five more apps doing the same thing: Talkie, Janitor, Kindroid, Replika, Nomi.AI. The governor's office says the bots are "preying on our kids".
