'Human-caused' blaze singes Saskatoon's University Bridge, again
Firefighters extinguished the fire Sunday afternoon, but it melted a plastic sewage pipe that runs underneath the bridge. A news release issued by city hall Monday said the fire was "human-caused," but offered no further details.

The grooves of the wwand slid between her overly observant fingers. She dug her nails gently into the furrows and swirls of the wood, humming a tune she once knew. Her body was young, though behind large amber eyes an aged soul rested.

She slid the knife free of it's prison, and it leapt joyously into her hpalm. the thrum of life flooded her veins, and the smell of nature washed over her. She nearly toppled from the tree stump she sat upon, the blade coming far too close to her stomach for comfort.
She adjusted the implement, balancing the knife in her small palm again. She squeezed the handle once more, and the veil of summer flooded her senses. She sighed at the feeling of Hummingbird's power. It was comforting, this cepter of nature. Where its blade touched, life was brought forth anew. Twisted trees #cursed by blight stood straight and healthy, and streams full of human detritus were swept up and carried away. #Melted candles and broken swordblades and a surprising number of dented chamberpots from eeras gone by catapulted out of the river's current.
The old Fae smiled to herself, remembering these fair times. She wondered though, would the magic ever fade? it's use was becoming more and more frequent as more humans destroyed faerie forests, and the heartbeat seemed to be slowing down with each passing turn of the planet. She winced, her brow furrowing as she contemplated other alternatives to preserve nature's heart.
