The Brandenburg Gate, the most famous landmark of Berlin and Germany, stood on the border between East and West Berlin during the division of Berlin. Therefore, the structure became the symbol of the conflict between NATO and the Warsaw Pact and since 1990, after the political turnaround in Germany, the symbol of the reunification of Germany and Europe.
People can’t live without other people. We are with each other, we observe each other, we love each other and we hate each other. That’s why ohoh.store is paying homage to people by offering twelve postcards featuring images of people at the very affordable price of €0.60.
From newspapers and magazines, Tim Roeloffs cuts and slices pictures and glues them together into a collage, in which a new, fantastic world emerges. After working as a tennis instructor, Tim Roeloffs settled in Berlin in 1992 and joined the artists' initiative Tacheles. After art and culture house Tacheles closed in 2012, Tim has worked in various workshops in Berlin and his work is available at various galleries. Currently, Tim creates his work in a workshop/shop in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.
