Perhaps it is time that I do some more distro-hopping. Although I thoroughly enjoy using Linux Mint, this is the second time in the past week that I've wanted a more recent release of some of the software I use than what is in Mint's repositories. First, it was the latest version of LibreOffice. I was able to switch to the Flatpack version without issue. Now, I find myself wanting to use the latest release of wine to run some windows-only software that I use for my job.

Hey #Linux peeps! I have lost my notes, and could use a fresh/current batch of opinions anyway.

Primary use will be for writing, (Open Office is weapon of choice)

What's your opinions for a solid light weight distro?

And preemptively no to Gentoo. Gentoo and I are like 2 drunks in a trailer park having an argument... it never goes well >.<

Oh boy! Next I'll be installing Hyprland hahaha

But for real my friend managed to convince me to give NixOS a try instead of Arch as my daily driver #linux_distro . Honestly not half bad, but I do miss my AURs. (Also no I personally don't like tiling window managers for computers I use for anything more than web browsing and light coding. So Hyprland will have to wait)
