Went to listen to this and half the files were Missing. Reripped to lossless. If you don’t know this, DC/Discord post-hardcore like a more melodic Fugazi. Probably my favorite album of theirs. if you want it more noisey and angular check out For Your own Special Sweetheart. #Jawbox

#TIL that Jawbox opened for Fugazi as their first public show. Which makes total sense, now that I finally got around to listening to some Fugazi.

Like their music, this album is hard to classify. It doesn't feel quite right to call it punk, metal or indie, any more than it would feel right to use those terms to describe Faith No More. They're too eclectic for that.

Listened to this record soooooo many times on tape. Now I finally got myself a copy on vinyl. This is a record I would call urgent. Many urgent records were made up until the 00s. Then it dried up somehow and we ended up with the Wet Legs of this world. Not bad either but I do miss this sense of urgency with new bands sometimes.
