One of the weirdest and most eccentric underground albums of the #60s .

It’s an absolute masterpiece of electronic experimentation and absurdist British art; mixing humorous and satirical spoken word with musique concrète, avant-garde jazz, all built with tape manipulation and sound collage.

Throughout the record, Geesin uses milk bottles and gas cans, along with more traditional instrumentation like guitar, banjo, and piano.

It’s also mixed very interestingly and uniquely. Sounds ping-pong back and forth between channels, creating very unique stereo placements.

The album is a real showcase for ALL of Geesin’s talents, and he played everything himself, at his home studio in Notting Hill, London.

A real wild and unique artistic experience.

I have a basic rule.
It’s not a complicated one, and it’s fairly easy to follow.

It’s “See A Crumb Album, Buy It.”

Not only was Crumb an insanely gifted cartoonist and illustrator, he was a really fantastic musician, and his records are just really fun old-timey awesomeness.

Just classic #Ragtime #blues and #jazz with that special warped Crumb twist on it.

Stoked to find this today.
Now I have TWO Crumb records.
There always worth owning just for the Crumb artwork alone.
Luckily the music is really enjoyable as well.

Diving into the weirder, more rare stuff from my library.

Starting with a very distinct branch from the Kraut rock/prog tree.

It’s his second album, and definitely more playful and theatrical than his previous or than the stuff he did with German prog outfit Grobschnitt.

Lots of spoken word, bizarre tape manipulation, and a stellar long composition called “Der Traum vom Wald”.

For connoisseurs of the weird and wonderful.

Excellent BRAIN 🧠 labels as well.

Much like Garfield, I too loathe and despise Mondays.

Best to try to blast it to pieces with sheer grit, power and intensity.

This album is my top 5 rock records of the past 15 years.
It’s absolutely incredible.

And although I don’t have much use for them after their following record The Agent Intellect, I will never tire of listening to this.

I was expecting this to be considered a landmark signature record of the time when I first heard it, and although I certainly see it that way, I feel it’s not looked at in that way.

Perhaps in another 15 years.
I know people’s tastes vary greatly, but it really is an astonishing album.
