Hi folks,
just got Guitarix running on Fedora Jam 43 and wanted share how.
Guitarix worked at the Live Medium, but after installing Fedora Jam it just threw init errors.
No tips and hints out of the forums worked for me.
Had the idea to compare the groups under live medium and the installation...
...and there was this group jackuser, that never has been mentioned.
I gave it a try..... Tadaaaa!!! and Gitarix started without errors.
@prinlu depends on what you want to do... Also don't underestimate the possibility to have a more modular approach on Linux via #jackaudio (and/or #pipewire ).
I often use #Rosegarden together with #Ardour (syched via jack transport), have combined with #puredata, qmidiarp, etc. #Yoshimi synth of course.
I prefer #Rosegarden as a sequencer/ composition tool, #ardour for audio #daw, #puredata for the more experimental/ DIY stuff...
You can get pretty (crazy) creative 😉
