cookie clicker was my first foray into incremental games, but having played more of them... it's not great. it prioritizes style over substance, which is fine for people's first incremental game, but its real sin is that it's not willing to commit to active play.

cookie clicker offers you active playstyles, yes, and they're very effective! so effective, in fact, that you will blow right to the endgame without even unlocking - let alone upgrading - all the minigames.

I'm a solo dev of 25 years and I made this gaem myself, including the engine written from scratch in C/C++ (yes, both) and a software renderer!

Thanks to that it can render thousands of sprites in 120FPS, uses 100MB of RAM and will work even on the lowest tier CPU! (I recorded this on my N100 laptop)
