Link to my #server #automation and #hackery thread. I write down some changes there, too.

My partner and me are running an informational feed covering design, media, marketing, communication, technology, and creating. The backbone of this is FreshRSS, IFTTT, and Buffer, and we are curating what gets posted to three accounts on three social media platforms. The method is simple: we favorite content in our FreshRSS. This list of favorite articles then gets output as an RSS feed itself. IFTTT takes this RSS feed and sends it to buffer, and buffer schedules the posts. #server #asca

i fixed that laptop but i put it back together a bit cobbled - if and when you do a project like that take a movie and then you can remember where the 39 screws go...the laptop works - i am going to have it be my work laptop mas o menos? it depends on what they decide to do. my garbage repair is good enough for me but in hindsight i shouldn't pawn it off on a client and it is basically a 50 dollar machine at best - i do like the 8 threads #jumpbox #hackery confession box

It's wild that a lot of shit now in #Production on the #Front in #Ukraine is a based upon a #Nation s
will and empowerment to use #COTs tech, #Hackery to defeat #Russia s #AirForce. But how many other tactical use cases are being put into #Operation globally. For #Crime, #Surveillance, #Espionage and #Assasinations ?
Now, what about adding these #UAS with #AI weaponized LLMs and #Data ?

#UAS if you can get mach 1 speeds and ground hugging radar. Cheap price point

I have a theming system in my app (various themes with dark/light color scheme variants) and it works for say 90% of all the things I need to theme.

But then there's always the one thing that doesn't have a clear configuration API: listRowBackground configures a cells background, but in doing so it loses highlight colors when selected/highlighted. The view passed to listRowBackground can have a custom ShapeStyle, which can theoretically access environment values to return the appropriate "selected" style, but none of the environment values (looking at “backgroundProminence”, primarily) changes when the cell is highlighted.

So the current solution, UIKit view hierarchy traversal hackery. https://gist.github.com/juanarzola/ca46d94f5ba6a884b697448e29ada31a. Hope to find a better way someday.

Nothing to see here, just making sure that folks who don't extend the official base classes aren't punished for not wanting to bother with the tedium of "boilerplate code".

So, the plan is to run Home Assistant. If you’ve not gathered that already.

Why? I dunno. Because it interests me. Things I’d like to do with HA:

Monitor the charging stations

Monitor the solar

Maybe use the solar to restrict charging during solar hours, although not sure it’s worth it since we don’t have a Time Of Use […]

Success in limited ways – Mostly lemon based

@kinsey power restored and 25% left.
The hackery would have run my backup setup for 6 hours on one set of batteries.
