PurpleJillybeansThings here in the #US just keep getting darker and darker, but I still have hope. The worst excesses of Trumpism are only possible because of #Trump 's personality cult. When he dies (and it won't be long now), his cult will die with him. And it will happen FAST. We've already seen how volatile #MAGA groups are even with their fetish alive. They'll rip themselves apart trying to claim his crown once he's gone.
Besides that, I still believe that Americans favor democracy, and will demand it of their leaders going forward. They were willing to sacrifice it for Trump, but they will not give others the same allowance. It'll be a generation before another figure like him appears.
Until the right's post-MAGA chaos settles, there will be a moment of opportunity for progressives to heal some of the damage Trump has done. Whether they will actually take advantage of it, rather than just squander it like they usually do, remains to be seen. We are still suffering from #Reagan 's legacy, and that was 40 years ago. We still haven't closed #Gitmo or ended #MassIncarceration .
There is a lot left to fight for, and these goals are achievable.

A federal judge has granted a request from the Trump administration to force-feed an Iranian asylum seeker who is on hunger strike while detained at the Florence ICE jail in Arizona. Last month, Mehrad Asadi Eidivand was arrested by federal immigration agents outside his home in Phoenix. He’s been on two hunger strikes since.
