–sn–

Times of India | Meet Surya Midha: The 22-year-old college dropout AI founder who became a billionaire faster than Mark Zuckerberg

AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information.

Surya Midha, a 22‑year‑old Indian‑origin entrepreneur who left Georgetown University to launch the AI‑driven recruitment startup Mercor in 2023, has become one of the world’s youngest self‑made billionaires, surpassing Mark Zuckerberg’s age at which he reached that milestone. Mercor uses artificial‑intelligence to interview, assess and match candidates with companies needing talent for AI research, model training and technical development, and its revenues surged from about $100 million to nearly $500 million in 2025, pushing its valuation to roughly $10 billion and instantly turning its three co‑founders into billionaires; Midha’s stake gives him an estimated net worth of $2.2 billion as of May 2026. His rapid rise highlights how the booming AI sector is creating unprecedented wealth for young founders and reinforces the emerging view that age is no longer a barrier to scaling a tech company to global dominance.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang overtook Dell founder Michael Dell on Forbes’ real‑time billionaire list, with his net worth rising to $191.5 billion—just ahead of Dell’s $191.2 billion—after Nvidia shares jumped 2.4% and added about $5.6 billion to his fortune in a single day. The gain came as Dell Technologies stock fell 5.5%, erasing roughly $2.9 billion from Dell’s wealth, despite a recent surge sparked by President Donald Trump’s public praise of the Dell family that had briefly lifted Dell’s shares to an all‑time high. Nvidia’s market value also surpassed $5.3 trillion, making it the world’s most valuable publicly traded company and the first to exceed a $5‑trillion market cap, driven by soaring demand for AI infrastructure and chips.

NBC News Top Stories | Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella testifies in OpenAI trial by David Ingram

AI generated summary, Read the full article for complete information.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella testified Monday as the third billionaire witness in the high‑profile lawsuit over OpenAI’s governance, where Elon Musk argues the AI startup has abandoned its original nonprofit mission and enriched its founders. The case pits Musk—who donated $38 million to OpenAI and later launched his own xAI venture—against OpenAI co‑founders Greg Brockman and Sam Altman, with Microsoft named as a co‑defendant due to its deep partnership and multibillion‑dollar investments in the company’s for‑profit arm. Nadella affirmed that OpenAI has retained its independence despite Microsoft’s $1 billion investment in 2019 and subsequent $12 billion infusions, and he said Microsoft’s involvement was aimed at assuring customers rather than controlling the nonprofit’s mission. The trial, which also featured earlier testimony from Musk and Brockman, will conclude with evidence wrapping up on Wednesday and closing arguments slated for Thursday.
