"Those Balmora houses would make great Stargrave desert buildings" he said. "I should make stairs so models can get to the rooftops." Had no idea what I was getting into, SO MUCH MEASURING. But we're halfway there. Just the other side of the building to go, and we can finish the structure and start with the decoration.

Painting these little #FoamCore farm house #terrain bits was stupidly quick.
Heavy dry brush of antique white over the outside
Thinned brown craft paint over the wooden beams
Tinting the walls with a thinned down #ArmyPainter zealot yellow
Inside walls were painted with antique white and the floors with dark grey.

For the roofs I'm thinking making a swappable chimney/HVAC unit? We'll see if I can pull it off

3 in - 3 out #midi switch: with some help from an #electronics forum, I unlinked the GND together and fixed a bug in my DIY switch.
+ Testing out a Brother labelmaker.
+ #foamcore for the cheap win when one doesn't own a 3d printer!

My first foray into creating a #BoardGames insert using #FoamCore. Takes a bit of headscratching to decide how to organise the sections but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out. As well as looking tidier, getting rid of the plastic baggies should greatly improve setup and teardown times.

If you find yourself with more #fountainpen ink bottles than wine bottles, then perhaps grab some #foamcore and glue up some boxes to store them in.

@wholesomedonut What about #boardgames with solo variants? For a quick weeknight #rollandwrite I like Railroad Ink and Welcome To. For a bit more crunch Terraforming Mars and A Feast For Odin are perfect for lazy Sundays. I've also heard good stuff about Under Falling Skies.

It's pretty much how I got into crafting my #foamcore inserts. Faster setup = more time to game!

I've been doing more solo #boardgames during COVID. More tactile fun and no screens is a welcome change of pace!
