🎉 Happy Easter - Show me your Easter eggs :)
I have a 15-year-old homepage with a hidden chat from an old game 👉 https://yuna.berlin
Guess the game?
Easter: a seasonal reminder that most companies have the imagination of a beige wall.
Let’s talk software Easter eggs – tiny sparks of joy buried under layers of Jira tickets.
If your product has none?
Congratulations. Your engineers are either chained in the feature factory…
or your company is too visionless to let them play.
Examples of fun companies:
🐍 Snake while YouTube buffers
🎮 GitHub mobile mini-game
🙃 Blame-someone error pages
Your product?
❌ No dark mode
❌ No gamification
❌ No clever errors
❌ No i18n
❌ No responsive design
❌ No joy
But hey, Time to Market, right?
You’re not innovating. You’re duct-taping compliance machines.
No Easter eggs = No creative freedom
No themed UI = No empathy
No jokes = No soul
No dev input = No ownership
You’re not building software.
You’re crafting digital despair.
Fix it. Or at least add a theme toggle.
💀 Happy Easter.
Go find your soul.

Da kommen mir die Begriffe "#FeatureFactory" und "#TechnicalDebts" in den Sinn. Zu Letzterem zähle ich auch Dokumentationen und Anleitung.

@DJGummikuh Ein sehr interessanter Thread!
Products have become overly complicated with an abundance of features, causing frustration among customers. Correspondent David Pogue delves into how simplicity in technology can simplify our complex lives.
@RosannaSibora @gazza best bad example indeed! I’d might add: “based on too many true stories”
Best example of bad #leadership and #controlcommand culture ⬇️
#featurefactory
Corporate projects: 1) Plan for months 2) Say a lot of words without really saying anything at all 3) Realise you came out of your endless planning sessions with no plan 4) Abandon all process 5) Make up arbitrary deadline and requirements 6) Change requirements daily 7) Fail to deliver anything 8) Blame the engineers 9) Give yourself a bonus #programming #agile #wagile
