A fine ottobre 2025 scadrà la licenza Windows 10 a milioni di dispositivi nel mondo, probabilmente il tuo PC ti ha già avvisato… che fare?
È possibile continuare ad usarlo, passando ad un altro Sistema Operativo, ciò gioverà di molto all’economia ed all’ecologia del pianeta!
Come labcyberfem, Visionarie e Centro delle Donne di Bologna, abbiamo preparato una giornata per parlare di Personal Computer e darci assistenza alla migrazione.
L’incontro è destinato sia a persone singole che vogliono aggiornare il proprio dispositivo, sia a persone che a loro volta potranno aiutare altre per procedere all’installazione di GNU/Linux.
Tutte le personalità women-identified e/o femministe e trans-femministe sono le benvenute!
Nel mondo la percentuale di utilizzatrici su computer portatile di una qualche distribuzione GNU/Linux sono già raddoppiate in questi ultimi mesi
Inoltre, prima di liberarci di Windows 10, è possibile chiedere il rimborso!

Durante l’Installation Party forniremo noi un bel numero di chiavette USB, per provare diversi ambienti grafici e scegliere la distribuzione GNU/Linux che fa per te!
Per i mesi successivi il Labcyberfem fornirà assistenza tecnica telefonica/videocall tutti i giovedì sera, dalle 18 e 30 alle 20 e 30! Non ti lasciamo sola

Niente hardware nuovo, nessun costo di licenze
Un nuovo computer costa un sacco di soldi, e molti sistemi operativi GNU/Linux sono efficienti e disponibili gratuitamente. Anche gli aggiornamenti software sono gratuiti, e per sempre. Naturalmente puoi dimostrare il tuo sostegno con delle donazioni! Se vuoi spendere dei soldi, puoi compare una batteria nuova al tuo notebook
Riservatezza potenziata
Al giorno d’oggi, Windows ti arriva già con un sacco di pubblicità e spyware. Ciò rallenta il computer, permette alle società di spiarti, e fa aumentare le tue bollette elettriche. Con una distribuzione GNU/Linux a scelta puoi avere un PC libero da distrazioni, aggiornato, facile da usare e compatibile con tutto il resto del mondo.
Buono per il pianeta
Durante la produzione, il computer emette più del 75% del carbonio del suo ciclo di vita. Tenere un dispositivo funzionante più a lungo ha un grande impatto sulla riduzione delle emissioni. La sceltapiù ecologica che puoi fare è allungare la vista al tuo vecchio PC resistendo all’obsolescenza programmata da Windows 10.
Supporto professionale e della comunità
C’è molta scelta: puoi trovare il supporto nei forum online, ma anche nei LUG (Linux user Grup) in diverse città italiane, oppure ormai i negozi di informatica ti danno assistenza a pagamento sulle più comuni distribuzioni: Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora, Gentoo, Debian,….

Linux ti garantisce le quattro del software: sei libero di usare, di studiare, di condividere e di migliorare un programma, e per tutto il tempo che vuoi. Tu hai il controllo del tuo dispositivo.
