No it is not. Technically this is my 'second reply', but I've deleted my first, which you may have briefly seen (before I noticed what I was quoting from, link I used & thus deleted it), but I was trying to quote from a 'not yet public' post which shows that the Ubuntu MATE flavor still has 'hope'. I'll add more if/when I can.

Tras 12 años al frente del proyecto, su fundador, Martin Wimpress, ha anunciado su retirada.
