But in recent times there seems to be a spate of deliberate and indiscrimate discharging of missiles from these in a part of #Kent - causing a lot of #damage to vehicles and houses, and they are also shooting at #wildlife and even #people (its a very good thing firearms are restricted in this country!)

What's striking is how there seem to be half a dozen books about building *toy* catapults, and surprisingly little about the use of real ones. Even the one book that looked like it might be of any help looks at a glance like it's probably more focused on the engineering perspective of how #catapults as an invention evolved over the centuries, not hints at what actually using them was like... when the latter is what I need for inspiration for a game mechanic for a build about that.
