Gambia ma problem infrastrukturalny w postaci bardzo szerokiego ujścia rzeki Gambia w stolicy - Bandżulu. Pływają tam promy, ale bardzo nieregularne i do tego zatłoczone. Dlatego jak komuś się spieszy - może popłynąć łodzią, ale z braku jakiegokolwiek pomostu - transfer do i z łodzi odbywa się na plecach operatora.
