@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic I have had issues in the past, but I seem to have an incredibly addictive personality, and have to avoid all sorts of things. It overlaps with obsessions for me as an #autustic trait, and I have to be really careful. Is it so.ething that disproportionately affects ASD people?

@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistic I really u derstand this, though sometimes it is so hard not to in a professional situation. I liken it to tattoos. They are great and I have some, and i'd love one down my arm, but there is a stigma in some corporate circles that tattoos are not professional. I know thsts wrong too. However I have tattoos only on my upper arm and hidden to fit the corporate image.
I know its not the same but as an #aspergers and #autustic person its the best analogy I can make to non neuro diverse people they can quickly understand.
I hate masking, but its so embedded in my routines and life that in certain situations it us me to an exrent. Sorry for the length of thus but thank you for the great conversation!

Being NeuroDiverse I have found there are some things that NeuroTypical people do that I would really struggle with.

Like putting a bottle into a paper recycling bin, not putting chairs back where they came from when asked, obstructing fire escapes, dropping my crisp packet on the footpath....
That kind of thing.

I guess I just have to do my best to fit in and hope most people don't mind me being 'different'.
