I think I've posted this pic every day on Asexual Awareness Day for the last few years but I really do like it a lot.

Realizing I'm Ace back in 2020 was an earth shattering day for me, I literally cried. It changed my entire perspective as who I was the way that I was. I was Ace for at least a couple of years before that and just didn't know it.

It was also a huge shock to me that there are so many Ace Spec folks out there, furry and non.

If you are Asexual, this is your day. If you know someone who is Ace, please consider wishing them a happy day today, maybe give them a hug if they are OK with that. 🦊 ❤️

The #asexual spectrum (#aspec) is very diverse, and that’s great! Everyone in it experiences it differently. Some ppl (like me) do not want sex EVER. Some may tolerate or even like it, but just rarely so.

But there is ONE thing that EVERYONE in the asexual spectrum has in common: We all "violate" some arbitrary sex norm in one way or another, simply by being ourselves. No matter if asexual, graysexual, demisexual, fraysexual, …

It’s the NORMS that are false, not aspec people!

I’m out and proud as #asexual for several years, and it has been working out for me *perfectly*. 🙂
It’s the *only* sexual-orientation word that makes sense for me. It’s really that simple.

I’m neither straight, gay, nor bisexual. I’m asexual.

And I am immensely thankful to the asexual community for being so awesome (it really matters!). 👍
