Trinitite quasi-crystals are in the science news feed again. It's weird. This is an old discovery from years ago, but every year it pops up again with fresh articles like it's a new discovery. It's strange to say the least.

I don't mind it because anything that generates interest in trinitite is good for my sales, but it's just weird to keep seeing the same damn story rehashed in my feed for years.

Иногда здесь будет в отрыве от аллокаторов/планировщиков и прочего, но опять же, статьи для тех, кто знает и хочет разобраться поглубже, как тут всё устроено. Поэтому, в этой части начнем с самого простого – пакета atomic. Концепции вокруг атомарных операций на уровне CPU я рассматривал здесь , поэтому советую почитать. Там мы даже пишем свой атомарный AND. !Важно! Мы будем разбирать на примере src/internal/runtime/atomics , то есть внутреннего пакета, а не того, который представлен нам как пользователям(потому что в исходниках я не нашел реализации). Но по большей части операции одни и те же.

New post: Distrobox: Different Distributions in a Box, Powered by #Podman

The case for running Arch, Ubuntu, and a real RHEL userspace as long-lived containers on a Fedora laptop. Home directory mounted in, GUI apps integrated, VSCode treats the box as a remote target.

Bonus: on a Fedora host registered with subscription-manager, RHEL entitlements propagate into UBI containers automatically via Podman's default mounts.conf. No flags, no manual bind mounts.

Especially good on Atomic spins.
