Do you ever see a knitting pattern, have an idea for the color scheme, order it, have the yarn arrive, and it's so perfectly what you were imagining that you get a little choked up?
Yeah. I'm looking forward to this Drip Dye sweater. (Photos once I get some current projects off the needles.)
I'm caught up with my MKAL and I don't want to work too far on my train knitting before my next train day....
So I've started my Clapotis for the 20th anniversary thing.
Edit to add:
Yarn: Wollmeise Pure in colorway Sirius
Needles: 3,25mm Chiaogoo interchangables
Litmus Cowl is growing slowly, but steadily…. 🧶

New City, new yarn store.
We were in #Utrecht yesterday and there I visited the beautiful store "sticks & cups".
Great surprise - they have a small selection of #Wollmeise.
Seems like a lot of sock yarn I bought but all are already spoken for. The 3 on the left will be thank you socks for some people who have helped greatly in the last weeks when some family members had health problems. The orange one is again a gift and the other 2 are for daughter and partner.
It took over a year to finish this.
I started this sweater in Feb 2022, by June it was 80% finished, according to my rav project notes. And then it hibernated.
It's based on this pattern https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/grand-passiflore - but different gauge, skipped the pattern on the yoke and because I was short on yarn I simplified the neck.
Looks good so far, seems to fit (pre-washing). So everything good so far.

#Fiberuary - #texture in #knitting .
I think it's fascinating how different foot and leg look, just because they are different stitch counts. It's brioche stitch in both parts but on the leg it looks like two color brioche, while on the foot the stripes look horizontal.
That pair of booties where a case of yarn chicken - I win, with 2m left over.

A quick in between project - I needed something small and mindless for two knit nights in a row (on online, one in-person).
So I grabbed some Wollmeise Twin I had leftover from a scarf weaving project and made matching fingerless gloves with an interesting thumb construction - they are called Pioneer Gloves on ravelry. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pioneer-gloves
