I'd REALLY like a *knowledgeable* reporter to ask the #BankruptcyBarron to explain how #tariffs "DON"T" cause prices to go up.
T****'s understanding: If you put a tariff on imported goods, they are more expensive, making "American Made" products more competitive.
Sounds good.
PROBLEM: Where's the incentive for American manufacturers to LOWER their prices? If a tariffed product is MORE expensive, U.S. made product prices will GO UP to match them. Only solution? A #WindfallProfitsTax

Unfortunately, the MOST EFFECTIVE means of fighting #PriceGouging AND raising Worker Pay is a #WindfallProfitsTax.
Corporations can easily avoid the tax by reinvesting in their companies, raise wages and cutting prices.

I can see the point.
Unless the masses all avoid the overpriced goods of the respective billionaires' companies, an argument could be made to save the poor, all must buy from them again, so that price-gourging becomes unnecessary.
Other than that, theoretical solutions are easy:
#WindfallProfitsTax and a #WealthTax and an inference tax that brings wealth distribution of the top 10% back to levels before the #RoaringTwenties...

I would like to make a counter proposal:
Implement or expand: #WindfallProfitsTax, #WealthTax, #InheritanceTax
It is not the obligation of the rich to pay 4 s.o. else's #Social #Security.
However, the earth +its resources belong 2 all humanity. If 1 generation earned something, it cannot be fully passed on 2 the next 1, in particular 4 #billionaires.
Trusts + "charity foundations" are an issue 4 the same reason: wealth transfer.
