There is an interesting discussion to be had here I feel. Is it #PriceGouging or is it 'subsidising lower prices for the less affluent'? Interesting also from a cultural point of view, anyone familiar with the souk or bazaar will know that the price is often what you can afford not what it is worth (worth being entirely subjective). I always found that rather egalitarian and never really mind paying extra. I'm not fool enough to think I'll ever get local price. Imagine haggling at Walmart.

Another interesting note from today.

Heard the rental car employee talking and they only had seven total reservations today.

I am paying double for this rental compared to 2019.

And as much as I hate it, it's kinda good to hear people are generally not biting on these stupid prices. If I had a better option I'd have taken it.
