#DickDurban is a dick, and so, good riddance!

Now, let's just hope #JBPritzker makes it to the White House instead of #Newsom from #California who is in the pocket of #SiliconValley #billionaires and who is now fighting #wealthTax on wealthy Americans. #EatTheRich

A #WealthTax on the ultra-rich to fund public schooling is exactly the kind of politically progressive action that has become increasingly rare in today’s Western world that unconditionally serves the wealthy.

And the reaction of the Danish billionaires reflects just how much the ultra-rich has degenerated into a different species with very little resemblance to the rest of humanity.

They’d rather leave #Denmark than pay a 0.5% tax that ensures that enough teachers are available in primary schools, and that classes don’t have more than 25 students.

A wealth tax for schools: Frederiksen’s shift left stirs debate before Denmark’s early election

PM’s proposal to tax super-rich and fund schools wins praise as her handling of the Greenland crisis boosts her standing across party lines – but not all voters are convinced

The group is widely speculated to have formed to combat a proposed #wealthtax on billionaires in California, although, as of February 2026, Building a Better California was officially neutral on the issue."

Canada’s biggest corporations raked in $677 billion last year. Why are they still getting handouts?

To rein in corporate power and make life affordable, we can’t rely on the same neoliberal toolbox, write Jared A. Walker and Silex Xuereb. Strong, democratic nations are built by investing in people and communities—not funnelling more money and influence to a few corporations. It’s time for a new approach that works for everyone.
