If the federal NDP were ever to have power, two of their biggest opponents would be the BC NDP and the Alberta NDP. Both are all-in on fossil fuels, screwing over First Nations, and being anti-worker.

Holy shit. The NDP voted out their establishment/continuity slate of officers. The delegates voted for the new progressive slate of candidates, signalling the evolution of the party back towards its socialist roots.

Massive upset in the officer leadership at #ndp2026 -- the "continuity" slate was defeated by a last-minute slate that included Libby Davies. Only people in the room are allowed to vote on this and so it not only seals the Lewis victory, but it also shows that support goes deep.
Thanks to the hit show North of North, Indigenous artists featured on its soundtrack are seeing their songs reach listeners around the world. They and other Indigenous people in the music industry say this kind of exposure lets them share authentic stories and educate new audiences about Indigenous history and culture through their music.
