@bobacyclist Not the first time I've seen more salt than snow on the street.
The snow melted by noon all on its own, except in a few places like under shrubs and shady corners.
It is super annoying that cities take care of streets for cars — and even for bikes — but leave pedestrian infrastructure in the hands of private property-owners, who may or may not have the money or contracting skill to maintain them. Even when we do, it's very expensive and often requires long waiting times. In the meantime we're responsible if people slip and fall. This is an anti-pedestrian policy.
