Big on the peanut but thin-bodied and lacking in a well-defined chocolate base. Not a repeat once it’s gone, not a great PB stout.
My wife made sun butter cookies, so this seemed a logical companion.

Lots of raspberry at first with a tart/bitter note. Body is light chocolate but the coffee is overwhelmed by the jamminess. Tart finish really lasts.
Less of a tart punch in the face than #vennBrewing Oppulescence Sexxxy Delicious if you’ve had that one.

Trying to pair with pork loin spicy pepper chili was tough and I probably missed the mark. But hey, can you go #stout wrong?

Big raspberry nose, rich chocolate with a tart finish. Almost sour to my taste, a nice dessert beer. Lighter than expected for an imperial. 12% ABV, it’ll sneak up on you!

A repeat serving of #VennBrewing #lunarRising breakfast #stout, paired with the not-so-obvious selection of gochujang Korean barbecue sloppy joes and sea-salt potato chips!
Tasty!
Rich coffee and vanilla buoyed by (I think) the lactose in the brew, smooth with just the right hint of a bitter finish. Pairs superbly with the subtle heat of the BBQ

Tonight’s choice is #VennBrewing Lunar Rising, a breakfast stout with a HUGE coffee and chocolate lead and a chaser of what my wife calls “fig” and I call vanilla-molasses.
Bigger on the coffee than my tastes run, but a nice lightly carbonated change of pace.
