I'm making bison chili tonight, adding both Japanese and purple sweet potatoes, and 3 types of chillies - Urfa Biber, Aleppo and Marash - using Turkish and Syrian peppers instead of Mexican. But I also added cacao, black cumin, smoked paprika and a bit of cinnamon, along with some peanut butter; alongside the usual tomatoes, tomato paste, black beans, onions and garlic.
