There are multiple #tartans for the Clan Scott. The #kilts in the photos are "Black & Grey Bespoke" tartan. They're accurate.

While there are no rules abt which Clan #tartan is to be worn, this one is generally associated with the Border Scotts.

However, #Scotty 's canonical birthplace is #Linlithgow , which is not a "Border town." It's located in West Lothian, in the central part of #Scotland , west of #Edinburgh .

National Records of Scotland: Scottish Register records 10,000th tartan. “The Scottish Register of Tartans has reached a significant milestone as it added the ten thousandth tartan design to its database. The milestone design was the 131 Argyle tartan, registered by the Diocesan Boys’ School of Hong Kong. The tartan celebrates the school’s long history since its founding in in 1869.”

This tartan is for the #Scottish #Clan "Cameron of Lochiel."

Among its most notable Clan Chiefs is Donald Cameron, the 22nd Chief of the Camerons, known as "The Gentle Cameron." (Born 1695, died 1748.)

During the #JacobiteRebellion of 1745, he fought for the cause of #BonniePrinceCharlie, but showed great mercy to the defeated city of Glasgow, which the city still recognizes today.

The Chief earned the name "Gentle Lochiel" for having spared #Glasgow when the #Stuart army retreated north, and in gratitude the citizenry decreed that the bells of the #TolboothKirk should forever be rung whenever his descendants passed through the city.

Two ticket stubs from Pap Pap's archives of #CMU hosting my alma mater, Westminster College (that little school up north of New Castle surrounded by Amish).

With CMU joining the PAA (D-III) back in 2014 as a football-only associate member, this rivalry has been rekindled, and I'm glad to see it back.
