I wonder if there are any good online resources or books for tiny #cooking, specifically for people who live in small #urbanism #apartments or #tinyhouse #THoW #vanlife

I have some ideas of my own, of course, having been #homeless more than once, living in the bed of my pickup truck.

I have a tiny #donabe #ๅœŸ้‹ that is a perfect size for one person, and I've cooked a lot of meals on a single burner backpacking canister gas stove. Here's a beef, umeboshi, and nori hotpot I made a few years ago:

It's been a long time since I've participated in the community, but I watched a video today of someone's very #TinyHouse and it got me thinking about it again.

Here's the thing: there are very few people for whom a #THoW actually makes rational sense, because they are the most inefficient use of land and #housing materials possible.

Most people should be in #multiunit #MixedUse #midrise #apartment #buildings, but for some people, THoWs can literally be life savers. #urbanism #architecture

8 years ago, I was living in an off-grid cabin in the mountain of Vermont, dreaming of my own #THoW (tiny house on wheels). This was the plan I finally came up with. The interior is 8' x 16', with an additional 8' x 4' of screened porch convertible to greenhouse. Elevations to follow.

A second design goal for this design is that all mechanical systems are inside the finished walls, to avoid breaking the insulation envelope as little as possible, and to allow for complete refitting and repurposing of the #THoW if and when it is no longer required as housing.

It could, for instance, become a workshop, an office space or artist's studio, or anything else.

I forgot to mention earlier that I would also design the electric system to be able to be powered by portable generator, or even a grid tie, if available.

The main reason, of course, is simply that with any kind of solar/wind local generation, eventually you will run out of power if the sun doesn't shine and the wind doesn't blow enough.

The second reason is, try as I might to fit in a wood-burning bread oven, in a #THoW this small, it's just not feasible.

So, I want an electric steam oven.

1. Got a square of flooring down and itโ€™s so pretty. Jobโ€™s not done but this needed to go down because
2. Got the fridge! 10 cubic foot of refrigerator glory!
3. This dream is actually functional. I cannot believe this. Sure that flooring needs to be finished, but I can technically survive in there now! Moving week is going to be great! #TinyHouse #TinyHome #THOW #Skoolie
