The cherry blossoms have passed and the lilacs are now in bloom! Beautiful sunny run today. So many birds around. This week running, I have seen four great egrets, a green heron, baby goslings with their Canadian parents, Mallard ducklings with mom, cormorants, and so many red winged blackbirds! I am enjoying the last few runs of my taper! Almost go time!

Spring running! I am in heaven! Tho not shorts yet, it was only 19C!!!!

Glorious trail run with intervals! I have been programming my training plan into my watch and it is so much easier than the last time I did this plan! The snow is gone now except for tree covered areas where there's still deep ice and snow on the trails. A lot of the damage from the ice storm has been cleaned up and is stacked neatly on the side of the paths. Absolutely beautiful day. So many juncos, I saw my friend the great egret for the second time this week, and all of the red winged blackbirds were hanging out! I'm so happy it's warmer!

Yoga practice 800/1000 (eight hundred practices!) Yin, hatha, and a meditation to celebrate! So grateful to be able to experience the shifts and changes that come with daily practice. I'm really enjoying this journey.

Looking towards Quebec from the Ontario side of the Ottawa River in February. The river is frozen and covered in freshly fallen snow and is sparkling despite the picture being a little blurry and out of focus. Land is visible on the horizon, a sliver with bumps where the mountains are. The sky is soft cloudy pale blue at the horizon, sharpening to a crisp winter sky blue with a few fluffy clouds.

Stunning day. Warm too! A balmy -9C but the wind was nippy. A very snowy trail run on even more fresh snow! Another double long run weekend. I like it! The out of focus was unintentional and I didn't realize until I got home but I like the effect.
