Thies MarsenDachau war eines der ersten KZ der #nazis & wurde zum Prototyp des Lager-Systems. Über 200.000 Menschen wurden in #dachau inhaftiert, rund 41.000 ermordet.Uunächst va Gegner des Nazi-Regimes, nach Ausbruch des 2. Weltkriegs Menschen aus ganz Europa. Ab Juli 1944 wurden die Außenlagerkomplexe Kaufering und Mühldorf zu Tatorten des #holocaust . Zur Befreiungsfeier heute kamen noch einige der letzten Überlebenden. Hier mein Bericht für @BR24

Vor etwa 20 Jahren interviewte ich in England Überlebende der #shoah . Sie stammten aus dem Baltikum und waren von den #nazis in die Dachauer Außenlager nahe Kaufering verschleppt worden. Nach der Befreiung gingen sie nach Leeds und bauten sich im #uk ein neues Leben auf. Dort fühlten sie sich sicher. Doch nun ist es auch dort offenbar vorbei mit der Sicherheit. Angesichts des zunehmenden #antisemitismus verlassen britische Juden ihr Land Richtung #israel
