Jack and Mary's Photo AlbumBack in February I shared a letter that Jack had received giving him advance notice that he was to be called up for training as part of the Reservists.
The time has now come and this letter, dated #OnThisDay 22 June 1951, provides a little more detail as to what Jack could expect.
He was to be at the camp at RAF Long Marston, Warwickshire, for two weeks as part of training with 751 Quarrying Squadron, Royal Engineers. Along with the letter is a list of items he was to bring with him, and a note of exactly where Jack was to be housed: Camp 3, Hut 11, Bed 5.
