Amazing weekend at #GreatWarGroup 3rd conference, #Brighton. Great talks, fantastic camaraderie & fun, as well as the opportunity to learn about the work and research that others are doing. This morning was a visit to the war memorial, a few moments of reflection & commemoration.

A flypast to mark the forthcoming retirement of the Hercules from RAF service will take place across all four nations of the United Kingdom today, Wednesday 14 June.
Part of the scheduled route is just to the east of my village:

I was awarded my Jubilee medal at our CCF Inspection Day today. Totally chuffed and honoured

DNA can be a great way to break down a genealogy brick wall. Working with a client's DNA matches, I made some small progress, but being able to triangulate these with his sister's DNA matches has allowed a great leap forward! Tomorrow looks to be a busy day - very exciting!
