Once you've named refusal as a moral choice, the next question tends to arrive quickly: refusal toward what, exactly? And this is where something opens that fixed beliefs can't reach — the turn toward practice, toward figuring it out alongside others, toward reverence for what resists being fully pinned down. Something loosens in that. It's the difference between knowing where you stand and learning how to move.
