#terraform #opentofu #tofu #iac do you know of any tools that'll generate a terraform module dependency graph? we have an established project with lots of module dependencies (which then have further dependencies) and it's complex as hell to navigate sometimes

not the "tofu graph" command, that does resources, but something that looks at module source declarations

I have this odd issue with #renovate where when a terraform provider is updated it's too quick and whatever mirrors don't have the version so it fails the pipeline. This only seems to be a #opentofu issue though as my legacy #terraform repos all pass fine. This is a problem for future Mike!

huh. barfing out a smol #k8s cluster on #lke with #opentofu was easier than i figured it'd be...

i use #terraform/opentofu daily but for whatever reason i had it in my head that the #linode provider would be gnarly.

Get a quick introduction to OpenTofu and Infrastructure as Code at #SeaGL2025 Nov 7, or 8 in #Seattle #opentofu #LPI #linux

If you ever write some #Terraform or #OpenTofu code and see the number of counts based on the workspace you use growing: do yourself a favor, drop the workspace, and use #Terragrunt to orchestrate you #IaC.

Am I living a nightmare porting some legacy #terraform code to better practices? Yes.
Is #Terragrunt making my live much easier? Also Yes.

[FEAT] Packages: handle terraform / opentofu state

### Needs and benefits When we want to deploy infrastructure using terraform/opentofu, the state needs to be stored somewhere. When the infrastructure is deployed using CICD actions, it could be very useful to store the state on the project package itself, this would make it simpler by not re...

After #OpenTofu, here's the next response to taking #Terraform off open source: #OpenTacos
(switching from Asian to Latin food? that's bold)

The folks at Digger, Terraform veterans who back #OpenTofu, have launched a new project to tackle state management and RBAC at scale.
This is very much an enterprise focused capability, for those running multiple teams with multiple states.

An interesting discussion on Reddit, with links to the project:

Jakiś czas temu informowałem Was o publikacji projektu, gdzie pokazuję jak zarządzam #adguardhome w kodzie.

Postanowiłem więc projekt szerzej opisać w nowym wpisie na blogu

Then again, i don't want to kill my existing Hetzner server with GTS and the blog, to add it to the state from scratch. From what I've seen there is a way to import existing infra into OpenTofu/Terraform.

Any thoughts on this? Good practices? Words of warning?
