Van seis meses desde que deje de usar #GitHub para mis proyectos personales. Ahora ni lo extraño.

Me tomó un tiempo entender GitLab mas aya de que fuera solo un repositorio de código. Entre esto y @Codeberg estoy hasta mejor.

Con todo lo que ha pasado con #microsoft AI y toda la mierda de anuncios estoy bien feliz que me aleje. Es hora de tomar en serio el alejar proyectos de GitHub y plataformas donde M$ tenga influencia.

@forgejo es una excelente opción.

I’ve been using #Forgejo as a #Git repo server for a few days now for some of my personal & PhD projects and experiments.

And what can I say: I’m thrilled! I’m very familiar with #gitlab, but Forgejo has nothing to fear from the comparison! Of course, there's no feature parity, but it seems Forgejo/Gitea have simply focused on the essential aspects, and that works perfectly. Excellent performance, low resource footage, good CI/CD. On top of that, it’s fully FOSS, no ifs or buts!

Does #codeberg have something like #activitypub like #gitlab has: https://handbook.gitlab.com/handbook/engineering/architecture/design-documents/activity_pub/

I also found https://codeberg.org/forgejo/discussions/issues/184

This would be nice, so that you can create a fork, issue or MR on one instance and let the other instance know.

If also Github will join then #opensource development will get more decentral.

I am not quite there to use the virtual currency based #ai thing in #gitlab , I d rather focus real skills for real currency
