Heading to flat and “breezy” Edinburgh parkrun https://www.parkrun.org.uk/edinburgh/ to tick off my first recovery goal!

I say yes to things even though I don't like things. I didn't honestly want another dog for example. But capitulated. My baseline is to want to become solitary and isolated so that I can disappear with as little impact and effect on others as possible. But that feeling is a depression feeling. And I try to appreciate the wonderful people and things around me even when, in this state, it feels like growing up was a mistake.
Add this wonderful US of A - and it's a recipe for another sludgey day without a run. I will try to get help today.
Sometimes the best thing a runner can do is not run.
I was feeling tight today and a bit off from my workout yesterday, so instead of running I did some yoga to stretch things out and I think that was the right move. I’m trying hard to avoid re-injuring myself.
Physio (no. 4) has diagnosed my running injury as sinus tarsi syndrome. Seems believable, and apparently I have very flexible ankles! Anyone got experience of this? I’d like to have a realistic idea of how long it might take to rehab (from chronic, > 1yr) and if it’s likely to recur.
Today I took part in my first discus competition (not something I ever thought I would say). Achieved my modest goal of “legal throw, outside the discus cage” despite it blowing an absolute hoolie in Aberdeen this morning.
