[Journal de terrain, Longwy, semaine 10] Détour près du haut fourneau
En voulant aller au golf pour photographier de près le haut fourneau, je fais un détour par le chemin de la Senelle (nom d’une des 4 usines de sidérurgie). J’y resterais trois heures. Je découvre, petit à petit, comme lorsque l’on va cueillir des champions, de nombreux vestiges de cette usine. Je pensais que tout avait été effacé, rasé, mais en fait les restes débordent et s’étalent sur au moins 1 kilomètre. Je découvre un nouveau chemin. J’étais déjà passé par là une fois, je ne comprends pas comment j’ai pu passer à côté. J’ai hâte d’y retourner, avec un appareil photo fonctionnel cette fois ci (je me suis rendu compte que mon objectif était cassé sur le chemin).

De janvier à juin 2021 nous réaliserons avec Nabila Halim un travail photographique et sonore avec les habitant•e•s de Longwy et les 4e D du collège Vauban autour de la thématique de la migration.

[field note, Longwy, week 10]. A trip near the blast furnace
On my way to the golf course to take photo of the blast furnace, I made a diversion via the Chemin de la Senelle (named after one of the 4 steelworks). I stayed there for three hours. Little by little, as if picking champions, I discovered many of the remains of this factory. I thought everything had been wiped out, razed to the ground, but in fact the remains overflow and stretch for at least 1 kilometre. I discovered a new path. I'd been there once before, so I don't know how I missed it. I can't wait to go back, this time with a working camera (I realised my lens was broken on the way).
