New York City’s ferry is becoming an unlikely transit darling, drawing more riders and a cult online following as the city bets that boats can be both useful infrastructure and a genuinely enjoyable way to move around.

Well that was pretty quick: the anonymous user of one of the far-right Xitter accounts that JD Vance follows has been unmasked. Say hello to New York City's own Alexander Norden, a 43-year-old misogynist who seems to work for NYC Ferry and thinks the Holocaust is just hilarious. When asked for a comment for this article, his reply was simply "Do your worst faggot." Cool. Totally normal.

Today's #LongRun trying to avoid the rain. SuccessπŸ‘ it was just hot and amazingly humid πŸ₯΅πŸ˜œπŸ€£

Back home using the #NYCFerry, a nice alternative to the subway

#NYCFerry to Classon Point from Wall Street and back. Amazing views of Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Bronx, Laguardia Airport never seen from that perspective.

It's amazing how busy #nycferry is on the weekends, as residents travel from different boroughs to the waterfront parks in #queens, from Gantry Plaza down to Rockaway. (And of course tourists go to DUMBO and Williamsburg.)

2 hours and 36 minutes from Hunters Point South to Rockaway Landing 😬

At least the free shuttle bus was actually available at the Rockaway stop

Next time we take the #nycferry to Rockaway, we're taking the subway to Wall St first. The East River boat has morphed into a form of slow torture, half because the boat idles from stop to stop, half because the tourists don't understand loading, sitting, unloading, or which areas of the boat are off limits.
