I know we're all trying to get through the holidays and the end of the year and nobody's thinking about February yet, but mark this in your calendar? @huertanix @cactuscon

I designed a set of 10 Christmas ornaments that can be 3D printed in vase mode for Printables’ Winter Holidays Decorations contest.

I knew when I started my design process that I wanted to design something that could be printed in vase mode.

Designing Christmas Ornaments for Vase Mode

This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/opinion/democrats-liberals-oil-gas-industry.html

FYI for my trans followers in TX - I don't want to stir any fear in you, but this is something to keep tabs on. Sending solidarity and love to y'all. 🖤

The state is making a list of ...
Texas is making a list of transgender Texans. It’s using driver's licenses to help.

A year after the state blocked transgender Texans from updating their state IDs, it has collected information on more than 100 people who have tried. Officials won’t say what they’re using the list for.

KUT

The new Mozilla CEO says he could block ad blockers in Firefox and estimates that it would bring in another $150 million, but he doesn't want to do that. Lmao. This guy has really lost the plot. Is he issuing threats to the users of an open-source project? Boy, what a disaster.

I’m a vegetarian but Shrimp Basket seems like a pretty awesome place.

He ate at this restaurant every day. When he didn’t show, the chef saved his life.

Charlie Hicks, 78, a regular at the Shrimp Basket stopped showing up. The chef went looking for him and ended up saving his life.
