Here is a diagram of the various #Fediverse software.

As more and more people are asking me about Mastodon I felt a need for a picture to point at, showcasing how the software known as Mastodon fits into the much larger concept of the Fediverse. I made this infographic to help myself and others explain the many different use-cases
We sometimes/usually share information that came from **/r/StarTrek** and post it here in our #fediverse #StarTrek groups:
- @startrek
- @[email protected]
- @allstartrek
The /r/StarTrek community started their own #Lemmy instance and are located here: https://startrek.website
They currently host three former “subreddits” and you can follow these in your respective instance:
(remove the hyphen)
- @[email protected] or https://startrek.website/c/startrek
- @[email protected] or https://startrek.website/c/daystrominstitute
- @[email protected] or https://startrek.website/c/risa
I wasn't aware there is a dotBuzz (.buzz) #TLD until I saw this new #Kbin instance https://readit.buzz
It's a nice wordplay.
This Kbin instance is owned by universeodon.com
Found via this post: https://mastodon.online/@mastodonmigration/110539903972899899
So, I created a #Kbin “Magazine” for the #Philippines over at #ReadItBuzz.
I don't know if it will be successful or not. But I want to experiment and learn more about the software, and the best way to do that is to actually use it. (And maybe suggest a feature or two later on.)
You can follow **/m/pilipinas** by searching on your instance either of these:
- https://readit.buzz/m/pilipinas
- @pilipinas
The “microblog” tab of the Philippines Magazine will capture posts with these tags/keywords: #Philippines #Filipino #Pilipinas #Filipinas #Pilipino #Philippine #Pinoy #Noypi #Filipinos #Pilipinos
Those are the usual tags used by Filipinos and foreigners. The microblog section of the magazine should be able to capture those posts that reaches the https://readit.buzz instance.

EDIT: Updated to read.it/m/pilipinas or @pilipinas
I am curious how #Tumblr will handle accounts with custom domains, once they connect to the #fediverse network.
Will they let us use our custom domains? Or just a generic @[email protected]?
Like in my case, will it be:
* @[email protected]
* @t.youronly.one
I wonder which will be the next big platform to launch #AcitivityPub support?
#Flickr? #Tumblr? #Meta / #Instagram?
If Tumblr releases their fediverse support, that's a lot of users and content.
Flickr will also add a lot of photo/image content.
Instagram… it will add a lot of photo/image content and users from a lot of countries who are into #AsianPop like #Jpop and #Kpop, as well as, #AsianDrama like #Kdrama, #Jdrama, and #Cdrama. Why? #Fandoms and East Asian celebrities are using Instagram big time more than they use #Twitter or #Facebook.
