i follow specific people and hashtags that interest me. have i curated my own #monoculture ? maybe, but >i< choose what i want to engage with. contrary to the forced shit "trending" bollocks i get on other monolithic platforms, where the algorithm rewards clickbait/ragebait. it's a quieter life. and we've had this monoculture discourse for aeons already.
