For those in #Europe, the funny thing about this is someone else ALREADY campaigned on "being #Canada's #Trump."

His name is #MaximeBernier, and he split from the #ConservativeParty to form the "People's Party of Canada," or #PPC for short.

And by "People's Party," he basically meant #whitenationalists. Not only did campaign workers frequently turn out to be #Nazis or #Cryptobros (at best), but they kicked out the ONE candidate who asked Bernier to disavow white supremacy.

Only thing is, in between his resignation and passing we got so much worse. After Mulroney, we get #PrestonManning, #StephenHarper, #MaximeBernier, and the most #Trumpian "#Canadian" of all #PierrePoilievre.

On the one hand, I'd gladly take Brian Mulroney over all of THAT, but on the other hand, I keep wondering if that's the #OvertonWindow talking, and if Mulroney made Manning, Harper, Poilievere inevitable.

So, #BrianMulroney, he wasn't the worst, but he should have been, and now he's gone.
