So it fits well. #DC is "classical" architecture, in the style of ancient Rome, a vast empire of conquest & slavery.

Rome is a great model for the USA, also a vast empire of conquest & slavery.

Objections to the arch are about context, not principle. The USA's narrow #OvertonWindow allows no criticism of the #imperialism fetish. So #Trump will get the imperial monument to his fragile ego.

Is anyone following the 2028 United Stares Presidential Election?

Any sign of potential anti-imperialist candidates? Preferably someone with a chance of getting on the ballot in a non-trivial humber of states.

I'm not much interested in the domestic politics of what Americans do to each other. I'm interested in the rest of the world staying safe, so I am looking for potential candidates who want the USA to stop being a global bully and a military superpower. Widen the #OvertonWindow!

Here is the reasonable but out of the #overtonwindow take on the #iranwar. First, as always, assume #taco. Second, understand, Iran is demanding war reparations. Third, Iran has already taken the Straight of Hormuz and is using it as a toll booth. Fourth, #Israel and the #USA will not/cannot pay war reparations. So #trump will negotiate a #franchise for Iran to keep taking a toll on all shipping out of the #persiangulf. The smaller gulf states pay for it. USA and Israel declare victory. ✌️

They're using the #midterm #election in the #USA to do it. #AIPAC and the #Democrats use their #denouncements much like the #NRA uses its #ReportCard, now that they know how #unpopular they are. They use so-called #progressive #canditates to drag the #left edge of the #OvertonWindow rightward.

#This is #MovementCapture. It's the #RatchetEffect. They want to create #ControlledOpposition to #Israel and #imperialism.
