Journey to Earthseed: A Tabletop Roleplay Campaign in Octavia E. Butler's Parable Universe
Young Angeleno game masters will lead an interactive role-playing adventure game around the quote, "The destiny of Earthseed is to take root among the stars," from the Parable of the Sower series with the intent "to co-create our understanding of the hope, creativity, and resilience that shaped Octavia's first book." This role-playing game will also tie Butler's work to the climate change we face today. The Octavia Lab is a do-it-yourself maker space located inside the Los Angeles Public Library's historic Central Library.

Highly recommend the #Kanopy app if your library system is connected to it. Thousands of movies of every conceivable genre to choose from. You can access up to 10 movies per month.
