I was planning to try and take Greg to the Bathurst Observatory Research Facility to look through some telescopes while he is here, because he is a space guy... but they just posted to say they're cancelling the tours for the rest of the year because of personal reasons.
I'm sad that we're not going to be able to do this, bust most of all I hope they're ok.
I wonder if the Parkes Observatory do tours. We won't be able to do it this visit, because we can't have overnight stays this time... but maybe next year? I'll have to see if it's something we can do.

This is also a great illustration of the saying that "A North American thinks a hundred years is a long time, while a European thinks 100 kilometers is a long distance".
This shows Portugal is shorter than a trip I take to see family members regularly. And even the main body of Greece is only about that size. And I mean, each way, not in total.
I do that trip as a day trip most of the time 😆 No wonder a Brit thinks you're mad if you say you can drive 1200km in a day or whatever.
I put together a bed side table for the other side of my bed, because Greg's visiting in a few weeks.
I got to put together some things in the drawer for him today:

Tissues

Lube

UK/Australia socket
Paper and pens
Wipes
Fan
Little bowl to put his ring in while he's sleeping
It feels less lonely to have little bits around the house for when he's here.
